Stitching Inspiration! April 29, 2023

Hello Creative Community!

I was sew excited to hear that it is going to rain this weekend! We really could use a couple of days of a steady rain. Not only does it mean that we will be getting the rain that is desperately needed, but I can plan some time stitching and not feel guilty that I'm getting quilty! Please laugh now!

Here are a few ideas for some projects!

• "Pinwheels" is a very simple pattern that was developed by Smile Spinners long ago.
• It can be used as a Baby Quilt, Table Topper or Wall Quilt
• The finished size is 40 x 40"

• We have given it an update by using fabrics from the Collection "The Littlest Family's Big Day" a children's book by Emily Winfield Martin!
• The fabrics are 100% cotton poplin, 43/44" wide

• We used "Thangles" to make our 1/2 square triangle construction super easy and accurate!

Dresses!

• When I saw the dress on the front of the catalog above, I was reminded of this cute cotton poplin in this Subtle Floral design that has a very similar look!

• The burgundy fabric that is my backdrop for the photo is a beautiful wool!
