Workshop, Learn to Quilt! Adding Borders and Quilting!!



Workshop Format: Let's Start to Quilt 

In this class we will start to apply the skills we have learned in previous classes to create a table topper or a small wall hanging! It's time to start to utilize many of the basic skills you learned in earlier skill builders!

In this workshop
     - Let's add Borders!
     - Let's create our quilt sandwich and start quilting!

Supplies Needed: 
    Thread
    Batting
    Basting spray

Tools Needed: Basic sewing supplies
     Rotary cutter - Olfa 45 or 60 mm with self retracting blade recommended
     Ruler: 6 X 24 - Omni grip ruler recommended
     Scissors: Thread snips and 8" fabric scissors
     Pins: glass heads, 1.25 length, .5mm pin thickness
     Sewing machine with new needle, Schmetz Sharp 80/12. 

Skill builders recommended: Cutting, Learn to Quilt, Choosing pattern and Fabric


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: In this workshop we will learn how to add borders to our quilt that lay flat!
Requirements: Intro to rotary cutting, stitching accurately and pressing
