One of the most feared parts of making a quilt is the quilting. New sewing machine features makes it easier than ever to achieve awesome results with much less practice!
*Reminder, Quilting is not just used to make a Quilt. Many Garments and Home Dec projects are quilted!
Here are just a few of the things we will discuss in this 3 part series of classes that will make quilting much less scary.
- What batting do I choose?
- What thread is best?
- How should that thread spool off through my machine?
- How do I hold my layers together? How do I mark my quilt?
- How do I set-up my machine for straight line quilting and free motion quilting?
- How do I achieve a consistent stitch length if my feed dogs are down?
- How do I set-up my machine to use the ruler templates!

- Set-up and practice straight line quilting
- Set-up and practice free motion quilting
- Learn how to set-up for ruler work
- Practice using the ruler foot and templates to achieve a stellar look!
*Please note: Please purchase the ruler foot, available at Smile Spinners, 2 weeks prior to class so we are sure we have the correct shank length and template thickness to fit your machine
