Welcome to Your Handmade Wardrobe!
A t-shirt and jeans will pretty much take you anywhere... Starting out with an easy classic t-shirt is a perfect jumping off point for sewing and for making the base of your outfit.
This class will give you a great foundation for navigating a pattern, choosing silhouette, size and fabric. We will work on some of the basics of working with knit fabrics, garment construction (with a sewing machine AND a serger!), setting in a sleeve, adding a neckband and hemming with twin needles.
Want to make a little more than your basic white tee? Don't worry we'll touch on some basic alterations and pattern adjustments that will add a little pizzazz.
Head over to our pinterest page, Smile Spinners, to find pattern suggestions. I have personally worked with or recommend the suggested patterns. While I encourage you to make your own design choice, please stick to the recommendations presented on the Smile Spinners pinterest page.
