Part 1: Skill Builder: Machine Quilting Introduction
Part 2: Workshop included in this sessions: practice free motion quilting skills
Recommended for Quilting, Garment and Home Dec construction
One of the most feared parts of making a quilt is the quilting. There's no way you have a quilt if it's not quilted. Just try to wash it without quilting it and you end up with a big mess, sooooo learning to quilt is really pretty important.
Here are just a few of the things we will discuss in this class that will make quilting much less scary. What batting do I choose? What thread is best? How should that thread spool off through my machine? How do I hold my layers together? How do I mark my quilt? How do I set-up my machine for straight line quilting and free motion quilting?
We will also practice quilting in class so bring your machine!
This class is an elective course. Most electives are not required for further Lectures.
