Quilting Techniques 252 - Half Square Triangles & Thangles *

Skill Builder Format: 1/2 square Triangles

Fiddle Factor is a description/term, I frequently use when talking about techniques and tools. What I look for in tools & techniques is a very low fiddle factor with an outcome that knocks the socks off of people. Why would you choose otherwise? Anyway, there are lots of ways to make a half square triangle but many have a very high fiddle factor and an awful outcome, really! Just the other day a customer came into the shop with a pattern that actually said in bold, "NOTE if you want this to be square well it won't be so get over it" I nearly had a heart attack! I will be sending that pattern designer, hard to call her that, some thangles!!!!!

What exactly is a Half Square Triangle? When do I use it and how? If you've got these questions or a project that expects you to have the answers, we can give them to you. Avoid the pains and pitfalls of the technique. Get an in depth tutorial on how to use Thangles to make perfect half square triangles.
