Q: What the heck is a Smile Spinner?

A: Well, a Smile Spinner is you!! Our creative community makes us smile every day and the fabrics, books, patterns, designs we fill our shop with make you smile, and thus our whole creative world keeps spinning!

 

Q: What makes Smile Spinners different from a big box store?

A: We are sewers, quilters, designers and creators of all kinds of things, so no matter the project, we can help you out! Our motto is Empowering Your Creativity and we pride ourselves on having knowledgeable staff (see the about me page), easy patterns, books, and an amazing selection of FABRICS to inspire you. If that’s not enough, we have more ideas than we know what to do with and we’re happy to pass some along!!

There is an energy here at Smile Spinners that you can’t find at any other store, we really love what we do (if we didn’t, we would have to change our name!) but its that infectious creative environment that has pulled customers from all up and down the east coast, across the country and even as far as Germany to shop with us over the last 18 years.

Sales and Specials:

Q: Do you have sales or offer promos?

A1: We take pride in knowing that you don’t need to have a coupon to get the best price at Smile Spinners. Our every day prices are honest and transparent retail pricing for the high quality fabrics we bring into our store. Every now and then we do have a special sale or run promotions on sewing machines or other items in store. It’s always a surprise, so, it’s best to sign up for our emails and follow us on social media so you’ll be the first to know when there’s a promo event going on.

A2: If you’re enrolled in the Smile Spinners Academy program you automatically turn on a shop discount of 20%. The discount is good for 6 month from the time you sign up for the Academy and take your first class. The discount has very few restrictions, you can ask us about those in the shop. If you finish your entire Academy classes in the 6mo period, we’ll extend your discount as a “congratulations!”

 

Q: Do you offer guild discounts?

A: We don’t offer any guild specific discounts. We welcome all of the area guild members to enroll in the Academy to have access to new techniques and skill builders along with the 20% discount for Academy members listed above. We believe in a creative community that is all inclusive and offer the same discount opportunities to all our customers.
